Kayla passionately delivers the sounds of the 50’s, 60’s, 70's & 80's and brings audiences back in time. Her music incorporates something for everyone! Realizing this music can't be her only musical outlet, Kayla is currently working on original songs and hopes to have some recorded and released by the beginning of 2012!
She has performed at large venues performing along side many of her musical inspirations and just recently, performed at The Apollo and The Friars Club both in New York City. Also in 2011, Kayla was picked out of 40,000 kids to audition for a show called Majors & Minors, although she didn't make the final cut the experience was invaluable. Another exciting moment in 2011 was winning a listening session at Sony Records in NYC. She is professional, authentic and intends on preserving the oldies. Her appearances on stage, TV, radio, and internet media have acquired her fan bases all over the world. Kayla was featured on the ABC show Bridge Street, appeared in Newsday in 2008 & 2010, and USA Today Weekend Magazine in 2007.
Kayla has been fortunate enough to work with Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge, Gloria Gaynor, Donny Most from Happy Days, Lovin Spoonful, Fred Paris & The Five Satins, The Chantels, The Chiffons, Barbara Harris, Larry Chance, Vito Picone & The Elegants, Kenny Vance, Larry Chance, The Teenagers, Jay Siegal & The Tokens, Jay & The Americans, Lou Christie, Larry Chance just to name a few!
While not performing, she is a normal 14 year old girl who enjoys musical theater, song writing, texting, shopping, cooking, makeup and Geocaching. Kayla is constantly involved in childhood cancer organizations and events, volunteering wherever they need her. She lends her voice to Songs of Love , an organization that creates personalized CD’s for children facing tough medical conditions. She is also a huge advocate for any animal organization! Kayla loves to visit nursing homes to share her gift with people who truly appreciate it choice of music!
